Creative youth entrepreneurship for Rroma communities

Creative Youth Entrepreneurship in Rroma communities” project is a voluntary project which implements an EVS group stage. The EVS stage is implemented for 12 months in the period 1/12/2013-1/12/2014 in four rural rroma communities from Valcea County, Romania. The project themes are: “ rroma communities” and “ media and youth information”.

The specific objectives of the project are:

– to develop entrepreneurship and creativity among youth;

– to realize an innovative EVS stage by direct involvement of 10 volunteers in solving some social problems that Rroma communities are facing;

– to realize an online portal whose aim is the exchange of good practices for projects addressing to social inclusion. The project develops a partnership Europe – South America – Africa and the promoters are: Uruguay, Zambia, Turkey, Portugal and Poland. In the EVS stage are participating 10 volunteers (6 girls and 4 boys).

The main activities of the EVS stage are:

– implementation of remedial education programs for young Rroma people;

– information and awareness campaigns in Roma communities.

These activities are implemented using non formal education methods: socio- educative animation, street animation, debate, open space, world café, forum theatre.
